Our Violin Teacher
Since starting violin at the age 4, Celia has gone on to achieve a Grade 8 from the Trinity College London by age 13 and a distinction in O level music. During her schooling days, she has served as fixed chair and Concert Mistress in her school’s String Ensemble. As Concert Mistress, she has lead the ensemble in numerous performances and Singapore Youth Festivals (SYF), with the ensemble achieving the highest award each time. She has also performed solo during various school concerts and events. In addition to performing, she was in charge of practices with the first violins and often lead practice sessions. As such, she has firsthand performance and coaching experience throughout her schooling days, which has translated into a passion for teaching. She is also able to offer advice for children wishing to join a musical related CCA in school and how best to excel in ensemble and solo playing.
